1983 Kawasaki GPZ750 A1 - Rebuild Begun 2007
Well as the title says I began this build in 2007, as the first picture shows it was very rough although I did manage to get it to run in this state, not real well though.
It smoked continuesley and ran erratically and would not idle etc. I later found two of the carb slide rubbers were holed. I was hoping the motor was going to be good
so I could do a cheapish tidy up and ride it. Wasn't to be so motor was stripped bare and rebuilt, as was the rest of the bike. Nothing was left untouched as the below pictures will show.
The picture above is how the bike was when I rode to a VJMC rally far away. The 4 into 4 look sweet but they were "too" unrestricted and it lost some power.
I went back to 4 into 2 and got a lot of the low down power back, would have been even better if I had added a cross over H box.
The bike was sold in 2013 and I have not sighted it since, I hope the new owner is happy with it.
I have to say it would rate in my top 5 for smoothness at all speeds.
